Raised Iron is the personal site of Fated Snowfox, a freelance web designer and amateur photographer, based in Nottingham, England. Here you will find my personal works, interests and hobbies and occasionally my thoughts on random things.
Sites like this act like a whetstone for me, allowing me to keep my skills up to date when I'm between projects and I guess they provide the outside observer an insight into what's going on in my life at any given moment. Yes, it'd be fair to say it's navel gazing to the Nth degree, but it's ultimately harmless.
My personal site has been through many changes over the years, going from the template driven Tripod homepage that I began as a 17 year old at college, through into this. I learned how to code HTML and CSS by hand, but found that it wasn't such a sin to use an editor to speed up the process and I use Dreamweaver for that. It's the lesser of very many evils. The fruits of my past labours are still alive and well, preserved at my sister site "Caught in Amber" which is over on the left hand side menu. feel free to poke around.
For now, this site is in open beta. There may be broken links and broken content, but it's coming. As yet there's not much more than this index page, but with a bit of luck that will be rectified over the next couple of days.
There's not a vast amount more I can say about the site. The majority of the graphics and photography are my own and are protected under Creative Commons with some rights reserved. I'll publish my terms as I get around to it. Work that isn't mine will be clearly marked as such. And with that, it's on with the show.
